ARP Drums is an extensive drum collection based on 700 one-shot samples created with a vintage ARP 2600, one of the finest, best sounding and most sought after analog synths ever made.
The ARP 2600 is an unique semi-modular analog synthesizer produced by ARP Instruments during the ’70s. Though only around 3000 units were produced from 1971 to 1980, this marvelous machine has been used by hundreds of sound pioneers in a wide variety of albums and movie sound effects. Popular ARP 2600 users include Orbital, Underworld, 808 State, Hardfloor, Chemical Brothers, Nine Inch Nails, Vince Clarke, Depeche Mode.
Pristine modular drums
The ARP 2600 sounds absolutely solid, loud and clean. Thanks to this wonderful Moog 4012 ladder filter, the 3 VCOs, the Ring Modulator, the Multipliers, the Voltage Processors and to its extra-versatile routings, this dream machine can generate an extremely wide variety of truly analog drum sounds. The 700 drum samples included in ARP Drums can be easily browsed using the 33 Droom instruments with integrated Menu selector or using the 700 Live Devices organized in 43 drum categories.
The Kontakt version of ARP Drums includes DROOM, a drum instrument with an ultra-friendly interface and a solid set of synth/effects parameters. All the drum samples included in ARP Drums can be easily selected using the Drum Menu and then tweaked using the an AHD Volume Envelope, two independent HP / LP filters, a Pitch Envelope and Warmth, Punch, Transient, EQ and Drive effects. The selected drum can be spread across the keyboard or it can be played regardless the incoming MIDI notes. MORE INFO HERE
The Live version of ARP Drums has been designed to perfectly fit into your Ableton Live. All the included devices can be directly installed in your "Packs" section and previewed when selected in the Live browser. They have also been organized in Live standardized categories so that you can find them also in the browser's "Categories" section. Moreover, all the sounds included in ARP Drums have similar perceived volumes and feature 8 macro controls with volume compensation to avoid unwanted distortions.
