Wave Drums is a very exotic and unique drum synth collection Based on Ableton Sammpler/Simpler. A masterpiece of sound design, a massive arsenal of chromatic drum instruments with endless potential.

Wave Drums dones’t make use of pre-recorded percussive samples. Each of the included 400 drum instruments starts from a small 18 Kbyte file, a single-cycle waveform with a size of 2048 samples. Thanks to the powerful Sampler/Simpler envelopes and filters and the masterly use of Live effects, the included 128 waveforms take the form of electronic drums with a very distinctive sound, a fascinating mix between vintage modular synths and modern DSP gears.

Endless sound combinations

Wave Bass allows to select on-the-fly the single-cycle waveforms simply by moving the “Wave Selector” macro control available in each patch. This knob scans through the 128 oscillators and allows to radically change the sounds without dragging new patches nor loosing the patch settings.

In Wave Drums the included 400 drum instruments are organized into 12 sound categories implement 20 sound-specific Macro Control plus 20 dedicated FX Modules. This huge amount of parameters, combined with the 128 switchable waveforms, allows dynamic tweaking while performing and guarantees a radical alteration of the sound structure.
